Create a sturdy DIY mailbox-post foundation without digging a post hole, mixing concrete or waiting for a footer to cure. This easy-to-install system provides a removable alternative to a traditional poured concrete footer.
WHY IT’S MORE STABLE
A standard ground screw relies primarily on the soil surrounding the screw. This connected system adds approximately 65 lb of ballast and a wide 22" surface footprint. The concrete disc helps resist tilting and rotation at ground level, while the 11" ground screw engages the soil below—providing two complementary sources of stability instead of relying on the ground screw alone.

EASY INSTALLATION
1) Confirm the installation area is clear of buried utilities, irrigation lines and underground obstructions.
2) Place the concrete disc in the desired location on firm, level ground.
Insert the ground screw through the center of the disc and screw it into the soil. Keep it perpendicular to the concrete as you turn it.
3) Continue until the ground-screw bar touches the flange on the concrete.
4)Tighten the flange bolts evenly until the flange is firmly connected to the ground screw.
5) Install your compatible pipe into the ground-screw receiver and tighten it until secure.
6) Check that the post is plumb and recheck all fasteners
Measure the pole’s actual outside diameter before ordering. A 2" nominal pipe may have an outside diameter greater than 2.2" and may not fit. Holding strength varies with soil, post height, attached load and installation. Check applicable postal and local placement requirements before installing.
