Give your patio or garden umbrella a base that provides substantial weight, anchors into the earth, and actually looks like it belongs in a finished outdoor space.

This handmade sealed concrete umbrella base weighs approximately 65 lbs and features a natural stone-inspired appearance rather than the utilitarian plastic look of many conventional umbrella stands.

The included ground screw anchors into the soil beneath the concrete, so your umbrella isn't relying on dead weight alone. The result is a low-profile combination of substantial weight, a wide footprint, and an in-ground anchor.

Umbrella, umbrella pole, and other accessories are not included.

INSTALLATION:

Place the concrete base on level ground where you want your umbrella installed.
Insert the supplied steel bar through the ground screw and screw it into the soil through the center of the concrete base, keeping the anchor perpendicular to the base.
Continue until the ground screw and mounting assembly are seated securely against the concrete base.
Tighten the flange hardware securely.
Insert your compatible umbrella pole into the adjustable fitting and tighten securely.

WHERE THIS BASE WORKS:

This base is designed for lawns, gardens, landscaped patio areas, or similar locations where the included ground screw can penetrate the soil beneath the concrete.

It is not intended to function as a conventional freestanding umbrella base on concrete, decks, pavers, or other hard surfaces where the ground screw cannot enter the earth. I do make other freestanding umbrella bases that are listed on my store.

IMPORTANT:

Umbrella size, canopy size, pole height, soil conditions, wind exposure, and installation quality can all affect the forces placed on an umbrella base.

Each base is individually handmade from concrete. Natural variations in color and texture, small air holes/bug holes, and other minor differences are normal characteristics of precast concrete and help give each piece its own natural, handcrafted appearance.
