No-Dig String Light Pole Base, 65 lb Concrete Ground Anchor with Screw

Build a DIY backyard string-light pole system without excavating post holes, pouring permanent concrete footings, or dealing with cheap alternatives that lean or fall over. Each purchase includes one base kit, which includes the concrete disk and flange, the ground screw, and appropriate hardware. This does not include the poles or string lights.

ULTIMATE STABILITY AND STILL EASY TO INSTALL 

A standard ground screw relies primarily on the soil surrounding the screw. This connected system adds approximately 65 lb of concrete ballast and a wide 22" surface footprint. The concrete disc helps resist tilting and rotation at ground level, while the 11" ground screw engages the soil below—providing two complementary sources of stability instead of relying on weight or a ground screw alone. 

EASY INSTALLATION

1) Confirm the installation area is clear of buried utilities, irrigation lines and underground obstructions.
2) Place the concrete disc in the desired location on firm, level ground.
Insert the ground screw through the center of the disc and screw it into the soil. Keep it perpendicular to the concrete as you turn it.
3) Continue until the ground-screw bar touches the flange on the concrete.
4) Tighten the flange bolts evenly until the flange is firmly connected to the ground screw.
5) Install your compatible pipe into the ground-screw receiver and tighten it until secure.
6) Check that the post is plumb and recheck all fasteners.

Measure the pole’s actual outside diameter before ordering. A 2" nominal pipe may have an outside diameter greater than 2.2" and may not fit. Holding strength varies with soil, post height, attached load and installation.

HANDCRAFTED CONCRETE CHARACTER

Because each base is individually hand-poured, slight variations in color, texture and surface appearance are expected. Small surface pinholes—often called “bug holes”—are a natural characteristic of cast concrete. These minor cosmetic variations make every base unique and are not considered defects.
