A heavy-duty, good-looking alternative to digging a hole and pouring a permanent concrete footing.

The Still Standing Universal Pole Mount Base combines a screw-in ground anchor with a 22" diameter, approximately 65 lb precast concrete base to create a mounting system that is sturdy enough for demanding outdoor applications while remaining removable, repositionable, and considerably easier to install than a traditional concrete footer.

Why combine a ground screw with a concrete base?

Ground screws are convenient, but by themselves they have an inherent weakness: limited lateral and tipping resistance near the surface of the soil.

This design adds a wide concrete footprint at ground level that acts like a large flare above the ground screw. Instead of relying entirely on the narrow screw buried in the soil, the system combines:

• Approximately 65 lbs of concrete ballast
• A wide 22" footprint at ground level
• An 11" in-ground screw anchor
• Mechanical support around the pole at the center of the base

The result is a combination of weight, ground anchoring, and a broad surface footprint designed to provide significantly more resistance to movement and tipping than relying on a ground screw alone.

At the same time, you aren't permanently committing yourself to a poured concrete footing.

Permanent when you want it. Portable when you don't.

This base is ideal when you want something sturdier than a typical freestanding plastic or lightweight weighted base, but don't necessarily want a permanent concrete installation.

Maybe you're not sure exactly where you want your flagpole yet. Maybe your string lights, umbrella, sign, or other outdoor equipment only goes up seasonally. Maybe you rent your property. Or maybe you simply don't want to dig a large hole, mix concrete, and permanently dedicate that location to one pole.

The entire assembly can be removed and relocated when needed.

Easy Installation

1. Position the base
Place the concrete disk on reasonably level soil in the desired location.

2. Install the ground screw
Insert the supplied turning bar and screw the anchor into the soil through the center of the base. Keep the anchor as straight and perpendicular as possible while installing.

3. Seat the assembly
Continue installing the ground screw until the assembly is properly seated against the mounting hardware/base.

4. Secure the mounting flange
Tighten the flange bolts until it's securely holding the ground screw. This acts as the mechanism that connects the ground screw to the concrete disk, making them one solid unit. 

5. Install your pole or pipe
Insert/attach your compatible pole or pipe and tighten the mounting hardware on the ground screw.

That's it—no large excavation, concrete mixing, forming, or waiting for a footing to cure.

Designed to Look Like Concrete — Because It Is

Each base is individually cast by hand. Small bug holes, pores, color variation, texture variation, and minor differences from piece to piece are normal characteristics of architectural/precast concrete.

These are not plastic reproductions or factory-molded faux stone. The subtle imperfections are part of the natural concrete appearance and mean your piece will not be perfectly identical to another.
